Restorative Dentistry in Trenton

A cracked molar, a filling that finally gave out, a missing tooth that makes you chew on one side — these are the everyday problems that bring our Trenton neighbors to our chairs. Restorative dentistry is simply the work of repairing teeth that are damaged, decayed, worn or missing so you can eat, speak and smile without thinking about it. At our office at 22500 Allen Rd. in Woodhaven, we see patients from Trenton for everything from a single filling to a full set of implant-supported dentures, and our goal is always the same: keep as much of your natural tooth as possible, and rebuild the rest in a way that looks and feels like it belongs to you.
Restoration covers a wide range of treatment, and the right choice depends on how much tooth structure is left. For small areas of decay, a dental filling is often all that's needed. When a tooth is cracked, heavily worn or has lost too much structure to hold a filling, a crown rebuilds the whole chewing surface. If decay or injury has reached the nerve, root canal therapy — anterior, premolar or molar — lets us save the tooth instead of removing it, and we usually finish with a crown to protect it.
When a tooth is already gone, we replace it. Bridges fill a gap using the neighboring teeth for support. Dental implants, including mini implants, replace the root itself and can hold a single crown, a bridge or an implant-supported denture. For patients missing most or all of their teeth, we offer complete and partial dentures. We also handle the supporting work that restorations sometimes require, such as bone grafting, crown lengthening and simple or surgical extractions, so Trenton patients don't have to be referred elsewhere for each step.
Most adults are candidates for some form of restorative care. If you have a tooth that hurts when you bite, sensitivity to hot or cold, a chipped or discolored tooth, an old filling that feels rough, a loose denture, or a space where a tooth used to be, it's worth having us look. Gum health matters too — if gum disease is present, we may begin with scaling and root planing or periodontal maintenance so your restorations have a stable foundation.
Your first visit starts with an exam, X-rays and a conversation about what's bothering you and what you'd like to fix. We offer a complimentary consultation, and we'll walk you through your options with the trade-offs explained plainly: what each approach involves, how long it takes and what it costs. Nothing gets scheduled until you understand the plan. We treat all ages, including children from age one through the teen years and children with special healthcare needs, and se habla español.

How Treatment and Aftercare Work
Fillings and bonding are usually finished in one visit. Crowns, bridges and dentures traditionally take two or more appointments, but our on-site dental lab changes that for many patients — we fabricate and adjust crowns, dentures, night guards and other appliances right here, including same-day crowns and same-day dentures, plus relines and repairs. For Trenton patients, that means fewer trips and less time spent waiting on an outside lab. Implants and oral surgery follow a staged timeline, with healing periods between placement and the final restoration, and we'll map those dates out for you in advance.
Aftercare is straightforward. Expect some numbness for a few hours and mild tenderness for a day or two after more involved work. Chew carefully on new restorations at first, keep brushing and flossing normally, and come in for your cleanings and exams so we can catch small problems early. If you grind your teeth, a custom night guard protects your investment — we make those in-house as well. Call us right away if a restoration feels high, loosens or comes off.
Paying for Restorative Care
We accept all major PPO insurance plans and will check your benefits at no charge before you commit. We also welcome self-pay patients and accept cash, checks, Visa, Mastercard and American Express.
If you don't have insurance, our in-house membership plan is $199 a year for adults and $99 for ages 17 and under. It covers exams, X-rays, two cleanings and two fluoride treatments at 100%, with 20% to 50% off other treatment — no annual maximum, deductibles, waiting periods or pre-authorizations. CareCredit financing is available for larger cases, and we offer new patient specials as well.
