Serving Trenton

A cracked molar on a Tuesday morning, a teenager ready for braces, a grandparent whose denture no longer fits — these are the everyday dental moments that bring Trenton families through our doors at 22500 Allen Rd. in Woodhaven. Because we're just a short drive from Trenton, we see neighbors from all over the Downriver area, and we've built our practice so that most of what a family needs can happen under one roof, often in fewer visits than you'd expect.
We're a multi-doctor family practice, which means a Trenton household doesn't have to split appointments across town. Dr. G. Ghannam, our owner, earned his DDS from the University of Michigan in 1985 and leads a team of five doctors: Dr. Derek A. Pflum, Dr. Maria Kana, Dr. Sophia Elmuradi — a board-certified oral and maxillofacial pathologist — and Dr. Ila Sayed, our board-certified orthodontist. Having general dentists and an orthodontist together lets us coordinate care internally instead of sending you elsewhere for a second opinion or a separate consultation.
That range matters in real life. A Trenton parent can bring a toddler in for a first visit around age one, a middle schooler for sealants and fluoride, and themselves for a cleaning or a crown. We treat children with special healthcare needs, and we welcome orthodontic transfer patients — including families who moved to the Trenton area mid-treatment — as well as patients who simply need a retainer replaced after finishing braces somewhere else.
Preventive care is the foundation: exams, cleanings with our hygienist, oral cancer screenings, fluoride treatments and sealants, plus gum disease care such as scaling and root planing and periodontal maintenance. When a tooth needs repair, we handle fillings, composite bonding, crowns and bridges, and root canal therapy on front teeth, premolars and molars.
For bigger changes, we offer cosmetic options like porcelain veneers and both in-office and take-home teeth whitening, and tooth replacement through traditional and mini dental implants, implant-supported dentures, and complete or partial dentures. Oral surgery is available on site — simple and surgical extractions, wisdom teeth removal, bone grafting, gum grafting, crown lengthening and gum contouring — and we accept surgical patients without a referral. We also fit night guards, sports mouth guards and oral appliances for sleep apnea, and we offer nitrous oxide and IV sedation for patients who need help staying relaxed.
Our in-house dental lab is one of the biggest practical advantages for Trenton patients. Crowns, dentures, night guards and other appliances are made and adjusted right here, which makes same-day dentures, same-day crowns, relines and repairs possible instead of a wait and a second trip across Downriver.

Insurance, Membership and Payment Options
We accept all major PPO insurance plans and welcome self-pay patients. Our pediatric, oral surgery and orthodontic services are all billed as a general practice, which keeps claims straightforward. If you're unsure what your plan covers, we'll run a complimentary insurance benefits check before treatment begins.
For Trenton residents without dental insurance, our in-house membership plan is $199 a year for ages 18 and up and $99 a year for ages 17 and under. It covers exams, X-rays, two cleanings and two fluoride treatments a year at 100%, plus 20% to 50% off other treatment — with no annual maximum, no deductibles, no waiting period and no pre-authorizations. We also offer CareCredit financing and new patient specials, and we accept cash, checks, Visa, Mastercard and American Express.
Getting Started
The easiest first step is a call to schedule. We offer a complimentary consultation, so if you're weighing implants, dentures or orthodontic treatment, you can sit down with a doctor, ask questions and understand your options before committing to anything.
If you're in pain today, let us know — we keep room for emergency visits. And if it's simply been a few years since your last cleaning, that's fine too. Tell us when you arrive, and we'll go at a pace that works for you.
