We've built our practice around the families who live and work here in Woodhaven, and that shapes almost everything about how we run our days. Our five doctors — Dr. G. Ghannam, who earned his DDS from the University of Michigan in 1985 and owns the practice, along with Dr. Derek A. Pflum, Dr. Maria Kana, Dr. Sophia Elmuradi and Dr. Ila Sayed — cover general dentistry, oral and maxillofacial pathology, and board-certified orthodontics under one roof. That means a Woodhaven family can handle a child's first visit, a parent's crown and a grandparent's denture reline without being sent across town to three different offices.

We also keep room for same-day emergency visits, because dental pain rarely schedules itself politely. A broken tooth, a lost filling, swelling, a knocked-out front tooth before a Woodhaven school event — call us and we'll work to see you that day. Our team also includes Spanish-speaking staff, so *se habla español* for neighbors who are more comfortable discussing care in Spanish.

Our general and preventive care starts with exams, cleanings, X-rays, fluoride treatments, sealants and oral cancer screenings, handled alongside a dental hygienist on staff. When gums need attention, we provide gum disease treatment, scaling and root planing, and periodontal maintenance. For restorative needs, we offer fillings, crowns, bridges and root canal therapy on front teeth, premolars and molars.

Beyond the basics, we provide cosmetic dentistry including composite bonding, porcelain veneers, and both in-office and take-home teeth whitening. We place traditional and mini dental implants, make complete and partial dentures, and offer implant-supported dentures for patients who want more stability. Oral surgery is available here as well — simple and surgical extractions, wisdom teeth removal, bone grafting, gum grafting, crown lengthening and gum contouring — and we accept surgical patients without a referral. We also fit night guards, sports guards and oral appliances for sleep apnea, and offer nitrous oxide and IV sedation for patients who need help staying relaxed.

For children, we see patients from age one through the teen years and welcome children with special healthcare needs. Orthodontic care covers traditional metal braces, Invisalign and clear aligners for both kids and adults, and we accept orthodontic transfer patients and make retainers for patients who were treated elsewhere.

Insurance, Membership and Payment Options

We accept all major PPO insurance plans and are glad to run a complimentary insurance benefits check so you know what's covered before treatment begins. We also welcome self-pay and cash patients, and accept cash, checks, Visa, Mastercard and American Express.

If you don't have dental insurance, our in-house membership plan is $199 a year for ages 18 and up and $99 a year for ages 17 and under. It covers exams, X-rays, two cleanings and two fluoride treatments a year at 100%, with 20% to 50% off other treatment — and there's no annual maximum, no deductible, no waiting period and no pre-authorizations. For larger treatment plans, CareCredit financing is available, and new patient specials help make that first visit easier on the budget.
